A passionate 4th-year student of Mechanical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Parag Mollick is a final-year Mechanical Engineering student at BUET in Dhaka, working in heat transfer and thermo-fluid systems. Most of his projects deal with cooling equipment that runs hot, such as AI server racks and electric vehicle battery packs.
He does most of his simulation work in COMSOL Multiphysics, running 3D conjugate heat transfer CFD, and has used ANSYS Fluent on earlier projects. He is a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) and models his simulation geometries in SOLIDWORKS.
His research looks at liquid cooling for data centers and EV batteries, especially compact heat exchangers, fin design and nanofluid coolants.
He is looking for graduate research opportunities in thermal engineering, starting in upcoming Fall 2027.
Successfully completed the MECHANICAL course at Interplanetar Workshop 2024 held from July 10 to July 18 with commendable dedication.

AeroMark is an FPV drone-based wildlife management system designed to remotely tranquilize and safely immobilize wild animals for research and conservation, rescue, and veterinary support. The drone carries a lightweight electromagnetic coil gun and a stabilized camera for accurate targeting. The coil gun works by boosting a 12V supply to high voltage, charging capacitors, and discharging them through a solenoid to generate a magnetic field that launches a metal dart. The system reduces direct human-animal interaction, improves researcher safety, and enables efficient field operations such as animal tagging, monitoring, and health assessment. The drone has a flight time of approximately 10 minutes, a range of 1 km, and manual control with an FPV camera system. Future developments include AI-assisted targeting, sensor upgrades, automatic dosing, swarm operations, and advanced data logging. Current limitations include limited range and accuracy, dependence on weather conditions, the need for skilled operators, and potential GPS signal issues in dense environments.
